Plastic Surgery in the Vancouver Area – Fees & Financial Info

Dr. Owen Reid offers a variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures at our plastic surgery office in the Vancouver area. Learn more about our fees and other financial information.

Booking a date for surgery

Surgical procedures requiring sedation or general anaesthesia take place at an accredited private surgical facility in Vancouver. To secure a surgery date at one of these facilities, a $2000 deposit is required. This amount will be deducted from the total cost of your procedure, and the remainder will be due 3 weeks prior to your surgery date.

Non-invasive treatments, such as BOTOX®, and minor surgical procedures are conducted in the office. A deposit is not required, and we accept payment on the day of the procedure.

Payment options

Your payment can be made by any of the following methods:

There is also an option to finance all or a portion of your procedure. For assistance or more information, please contact these financing companies:

Surgical fees

The total cost of surgery reflects a combination of several different fees, which include the:

  • Surgical fee
  • Anaesthesiologist fee
  • Facility fee
  • Cost of breast implants, garments and other consumables
  • Taxes (GST)

Surgical fees include time and materials spent on the pre-operative preparation, as well as the post-operative follow-up visits in addition to the operation itself.

Although the need seldom arises, patients may benefit from a second operation or procedure. Revisions are a normal part of every plastic surgery practice, and they help ensure patient satisfaction with the final result. These procedures have a cost; although no one plans on needing a revision, you should be prepared for this possibility.

Cancellation policy

We realize that life is unpredictable and that it may be necessary to cancel or postpone your surgical procedure. Before doing so, please consider the impact this will have on other people. When a surgical booking is cancelled, it has the potential to affect other patients, operating room staff, Dr. Reid and the anaesthesiologist. With that in mind, only a partial refund will be provided when cancellations are made less than 3 weeks from the surgery date.

  • If a cancellation is made more than 21 days prior to surgery, a full refund will be provided
  • If a cancellation is made less than 21 days prior to surgery, the deposit will be non-refundable
  • If a cancellation is made less than 14 days prior to the booked surgery date, 25% of the total cost will be withheld as an administrative fee
  • If surgery is cancelled less than 48 hours ahead of time, only 25% of the total cost will be refunded
